POLICE are appealing for the public’s help after a driver failed to stop following a collision.

It happened shortly after 8pm on Saturday (April 19) at the junction of Soundwell Road and Broad Road in Fishponds.

A silver Vauxhall Astra was involved in a collision with a car, believed to be a light blue Peugeot.

The blue car is reported to have failed to give way at the junction which resulted in a collision.

The driver of the Vauxhall was asked to pull over and the blue car then drove away from the scene, without exchanging any details.

The driver of the Vauxhall suffered bruising and injured wrist and went to Frenchay Hospital as a precaution.

A police spokesman said: "We are keen to hear from anyone who was in the area the time who may have seen the incident.
