A TEN-year-old boy was approached by a man in a white van and asked if he wanted a lift in Dursley.
The suspicious incident on Monday, July 14 saw the boy refusing the lift at 8.20am on Oak Drive in Dursley.
The man, described as white, in his 50s, with grey hair, a light beard and wearing a white t-shirt and glasses became verbally abusive towards the child after he was refused and drove off.
IT is not yet known whether it is connected to a similar incident incident later that day in Cam where a man exposed himself to a child.
A Gloucestershire Police spokesman said reassurance patrols were being carried out in the area and warned children and parents about stranger danger.
