POLICE are hoping to reunite a number of electric power tools thought to have been stolen from a van or building site with their owner.

Officers seized the items, which include a cement whisk, on Saturday, July 26. They believe them to have been stolen, possibly from a tradesperson’s van or a building site, in the Bristol, South Gloucestershire or Bath and North East Somerset area.

The items include a yellow Carroll and Meynell Transformer, a three foot long plaster/cement whisk, a blue metal toolbox and a blue Makita drill case containing a cordless drill and a cordless screwdriver.

PC Tom Williams said: “We know the impact that having the tools of your trade stolen can have on a business. We’d like to find the rightful owner of these items.

“If you can help us, please contact me at Concorde House, either through our website or by calling 101, quoting the reference PE36177/14.”

He said anyone who does own tools and equipment is recommended to mark them with a name or business name and postcode and register them at www.immobilise.com. Builders are also encouraged to install a sturdy, lockable cage for storing tools inside your van if you’re not able to empty it overnight.
