South Gloucestershire’s largest social housing landlord celebrated the company’s annual fun day on Saturday (16).

Residents living in property owned by the company were treated to a range of entertainment throughout the course of the day at Elm Park, in Filton.

There were also a range of activities on offer, including bouncy castles, a fun house and a helter skelter.

A variety of entertainment and acts wowed groups during the day. Performers included the Rockwood Dog Display Team, the King Edmund’s acro-gymnastics team and a stilt walking balloon modeller.

There was also the chance to meet the Gruffalo, giant jigsaw puzzles, tent making and a pirate treasure hunt.

Neighbourhood housing team leader and organiser of the event Clair Cook said: “It was a fantastic day and it was wonderful to see so many residents and their families come along and enjoy themselves. Everyone had a smile on their face and that was the most important thing for us.

“We’ve picked up lots of feedback about how we can improve our services and residents also voted on which charity we should raise money for over the next year.

“We’re delighted to say that the Bristol-based Brandon Trust, which supports people with learning disabilities, including some of our residents, won the vote. And they’ll benefit straightaway as we raised money on the day which we’ll be donating to them.”
