FIREFIGHTERS had to cut a woman from her car after she was involved in an accident yesterday morning on the A38 in Cambridge.

The light green ford fiesta was involved in a collision at around 8am on Thursday (August 22) to the entrance of Ryalls Lane, near the George Inn.

Gloucestershire Fire and Rescue Service received the call at 8.16am and were on the scene by 8.27 am.

One fire engine from Stroud and one from Dursley Fire Station was sent.

One woman had released herself from the car by their arrival, while another had to be cut free before being taken to hospital.
