GREYHOUNDS and lurchers will benefit from a charity quiz night to be held next month.

Caricatures, artisan stalls and a quiz will be on offer at The Chantry Centre, in Long Street, Dursley, on September 26, all to raise money for Greyhound Rescue West of England.

BBC Radio Gloucester presenter Mark Cummings is a special guest at the event and will play the role of quizmaster.

Organiser of the event Gill Meadows is a special projects volunteer for GRWE.

She said: “I was extremely lucky to secure Mark Cummings, the BBC Radio Gloucester presenter as our Quiz host , and have been amazed at the support shown by all the businesses who have donated wonderful raffle prizes.

“We have received a £400 holiday, meal vouchers, cinema and concert tickets, Gloucester rugby and swimming pool tickets, 5 gallons of Uley ale, a free caricature, chimney sweep, and many more items.

“The value of the prizes is currently well in excess of £1,000.”

The quiz requires teams of 4 to 6, and costs £4 per person. Please pre book your quiz team by contacting Gill Meadows on 01453 544379/07477 569571 or emailing gill.meadows@grwe.com.
