POLICE are still investigating a case of suspected arson at a Uley barn which left bucket list fundraiser Cameron Hutchinson's prized quad bike severely damaged.

The call came to Gloucestershire Police from Newbrook Farm at 10pm on Sunday, May 31, shortly after the fire broke out.

The owner of the farm, which is operated by Newbrook Equestrian Centre, reported that he was driving home at about 9.40pm when he noticed a small rubbish fire outside Angeston Court, a property near the barn.

He said he spotted one male running out of the lane near the property, followed by another male and two females walking out of the lane.

Upon arriving at home he realised that his barn was on fire.

Cameron Hutchinson's quad bike was badly damaged in the blaze.

Cameron, 23, who lives with his family in Cam, was diagnosed with terminal cancer towards the end of last year. A fundraising campaign was launched to raise money for Macmillan and fulfil some of his bucket list wishes.

The quad bike, top of the list, was given to Cameron just over a month ago for his birthday, and he has since used it on a daily basis while helping out the staff at Newbrook Farm, a role that has gave his life a sense of purpose in a difficult time.

Following the barn fire people in the area grouped together to ensure Cameron's bike was fixed, and so far a crowdfunding page (https://crowdfunding.justgiving.com/dan-bristol) has received more than £400 of a £1,000 target.

Anyone with information about this fire is asked to call police on 101 quoting Incidents 433 of 31 May and crime number 12431/15.
