A PRIMARY school in Kingswood has closed today due to a sickness bug.
Kingswood Primary School is to shut for the remainder of the day and parents are being urged to collect their children.
Gloucestershire County Council, which oversees the work of the school, has recommended that children be free of symptoms for 48 hours before returning to school.
A spokesman for Gloucestershire County Council said: “With some pupils suffering from a sickness bug it was decided to close the school and carry out a thorough deep clean of the building as a precautionary measure.
"Parents and careers should make sure that their children are symptom free for at least 48 hours before they return to school.”
