A TALENTED 21-year-old from Rangeworthy has achieved what many only dream of after pursuing a career as an actress.

Lucy Trotman has now appeared in multiple television series and has also played the lead role in a short film which was completed this year.

Lucy went to Castle School and that is where she says her ambitions to become an actress stemmed from.

“Acting only really became a career path option for me after my PE teacher at Castle told me to just pursue what I wanted to do.

“Acting is always something I’ve wanted to do and when they filmed an episode of Casualty at the school it was really exciting.

Lucy appeared as an extra in a recent episode of Casualty but has also appeared in an episode of the BBC series Sherlock and in ITV crime drama Broadchurch.

Earlier this year she shot a short film 'Stung' in Burnham-on-Sea in which she played the lead character, Lauren.

Filming Stung included a drowning scene which she described as being both challenging and good fun.

However, Lucy has not forgotten her Castle School roots as she visited the year 10 students at the school at the end of last year to talk about jobs and how she got in to acting.

Lucy has now been cast in another short film title 'Adams Last Wish' which will be filmed next year in Wales and she will again play in a lead role.
