A CHARITY air ambulance that provides its services across South Gloucestershire gave critical care to an injured competitor at a motoring racing event near Cheltenham.
The Great Western Air Ambulance Charity (GWAAC) attended an incident at the Prescott Speed Hill Climb on Sunday, April 26.
The critical care team received a report that a competitor had been injured.
They flew to the track in Gloucestershire from their base in Filton, Bristol, and gave critical care at the scene.
The patient was then airlifted to Southmead Hospital.
Last year GWAAC attended 1,385 jobs, of which 146 were in Gloucestershire.
