FIRE crews from Gloucestershire carried out a rescue on a horse that got its leg stuck in a kissing gate.
At 2.41pm today (April 30) fire control received a call asking for help with a horse that had got its leg stuck in a kissing gate after trying to jump over it, just off Stockwell Lane in Woodmancote, Cheltenham.
The specialist animal rescue team from the Gloucester North Fire Station was mobilised to the incident with a crew of five.
When in attendance, crews found the horse had got its right hind leg stuck between the top two bars of the gate, suffering a deep cut on its leg.
Crews used cutting equipment to cut the top rail on the gate allowing the leg to be freed.
The horse was then checked over by the vet.
