THE police are renewing their appeal for information after a two-year-old girl died following a serious road traffic collision in Avonmouth.

A Toyota Yaris and a Mercedes minibus were in collision in Kings Weston Lane at around 9.15am on Tuesday.

A woman and two children, who were in the Yaris, were taken to hospital after suffering injuries in the collision.

One of the children, a two-year-old girl, was kept in hospital but sadly died from her injuries.

The police are still appealing for anyone who has any information about the collision to contact us.

They are particularly keen to speak to the driver of a white/silver Ford Fiesta size vehicle which was travelling directly behind the minibus.

The driver got out to help at the scene but left before giving his details to officers.

They also wish to speak to the driver of a car travelling behind the Yaris involved in the collision. Again, the driver stopped and got out, but left before officers could take their details.
