FIREFIGHTERS were called to reports of persons trapped following a road traffic collision on the A48, Minsterworth junction of Bury Lane.

At 12:53pm today the fire service received a call to persons trapped following a road traffic collision and a total of 11 fire-fighters were mobilised from Gloucester North and Cinderford stations along with the Specialised Incident Support Unit.

The collision involved two vehicles.

One adult male and two children were released before the arrival of service and were being treated at the scene by county ambulance staff. 

One other adult male was injured and had to be extricated from one of the vehicles by the fire crews. 

The injured man was then conveyed to hospital by county ambulance.

The service remained on scene for a further 10 minutes making the vehicles safe.
