FIRE and rescue crews were called to a house fire in Winchcombe.
Fire engines from Winchcombe Fire Station and Cheltenham East, with a combined crew of 11, were called to smoke issuing from a house at 2.47pm yesterday afternoon.
On arrival , the crews had to force entry to the property and used two hose reels and four breathing apparatus to extinguish the fire found inside.
The fire was under control by just after 3pm and one crew was detained for some time awaiting the arrival of a carpenter to effect repairs on the front door.
