BIKERS converged on Chipping Sodbury on Sunday (September 27) to gear up for a 100-mile charity ride.

The 25 motorbike enthusiasts met in Broad Street before setting off in convoy for the ride to London in aid of disability charity Brandon Trust.

The group gathered at Etcetera cafe for breakfast with members of the trust’s fundraising team before setting off in convoy to the iconic Ace Café in north London, a famous meeting point for bikers.

The event was organised by bike fan Joanne Wingate, who works as a manager at the Patchway-based Brandon Trust which supports children and adults with learning disabilities and autism across the region.

She said: “Earlier this year the Brandon bikers visited the Ace Café and many asked we do it again, either because they missed it or they loved it so much.

“As always the intention was to raise funds for Brandon Trust and, with a donation per bike, we managed to raise around £300.

“It was quite a sight in Chipping Sodbury on Sunday morning, so thanks to all who took part.”
