A MAN in his 50s was treated for smoke inhalation after a fire broke out in the kitchen of his flat in Bristol.
Firefighters from Temple, Bath and Chew Magna fire stations were called to the incident in Harveys Lane in the St George area of Bristol at 2.17pm yesterday.
The flat’s resident, a man his 50s, was outside the property with nearby residents when crews arrived.
Firefighters wearing breathing apparatus entered the flat and extinguished the blaze using a high pressure hose reel.
They also ventilated the flat to clear smoke from the home, which was extensively damaged by the fire.
The resident was treated for the effects of smoke inhalation at the scene.
