A MAN suffered smoke inhalation when a caravan burst into flames in Coalpit Heath.
The caravan was 40 per cent damaged in the blaze on Frog Lane at 6.47pm on Thursday (April 14).
Two fire crews, from Yate and Kingswood, were called to the scene but the fire was already out when they arrived. Firefighters used a high pressure hose reel to dampen the caravan.
Alongside a paramedic, they provided oxygen to the man, said to be in his thirties.
Avon Fire and Rescue Service spokesman James Bladon said: “Forty per cent of the caravan was damaged by fire.
“The cause of the fire is believed to be accidental.”
