AN INQUEST has been opened into the death of a woman who died after being hit by a car on the A38.
Susan Colcombe, 81, of Frampton-on-Severn, was hit by a Suzuki Swift near Eastington as she was crossing the road on April 15.
An initial post-mortem examination has found she died of multiple injuries.
The inquest was opened yesterday, with the full hearing expected to take place on September 29.
A 23-year-old woman who was arrested on suspicion of drug driving has been released on bail while investigations continue.
