FIREFIGHTERS were called out to Yate twice in less than 20 minutes last night to deal with vehicle fire.
Two crews from Yate were dispatched at 10.05pm following reports of a car fire, arriving at Mercier Close to find a small fire affecting the front wheel of the car.
Crews used a high pressure hose reel to put out the flames.
Then at 10.21pm, one crew from Yate Fire Station was sent to Tree Leaze in Yate, to tackle another vehicle fire.
Firefighters again used high pressure hose reels to extinguish the fire.
A spokesman for Avon Fire and Rescue Service said that they believe both fires were started deliberately.
