WINTERBOURNE International Academy students have this year once again achieved brilliant A-level results, with over half of all grades achieved being at A*-B,  26% being A*-A, and an overall pass rate of 99.2 per cent.

Amongst the highest achievers are two students who have been accepted to Oxbridge. Isobel Wilkins will be going to Cambridge to study Modern & Medieval Languages and Emily Wilkins will be going to Oxford to study Geography.

Director of Sixth Form, Danielle Jolosa, said: “Words cannot describe how proud we are of all our students and the grades they have achieved.  Their hard work and determination has certainly paid off and I wish them all the best as they embark on their next chapter.

“I would also like to take this opportunity to thank and congratulate all of their teachers for their commitment and dedication to the students.”

Out of the 111 students who applied for university, 97 were offered their first choice and 14 are eligible for clearing.

Peter Smart, Academy Principal, said: "We are delighted with these results. During their time at Winterbourne International Academy Sixth Form the students have worked tremendously hard. They have been guided through their studies by committed teachers and very supportive parents and families.
