BEAVERS from Thornbury have collected an incredible five trolley’s worth of donations for the food bank in a matter of hours as part of a Halloween trick-or-treating campaign.

The boys and girls of Second Thornbury Beavers have been in Tesco since 8am speaking to shoppers, who in turn have made some very generous donations, and will be there until 4pm today.

Having raised 288kg with his brother Connor last year, the idea was suggested to the group by seven-year-old Lewis Tucker, with the pair having gone door-to-door in costume last year.

The beavers will be collecting around Thornbury on Tuesday night, and anyone who wishes to make sure they are visited are asked to call Craig Tucker on 07487 669067.
