Letter may be a scam

POLICE are investigating a possible scam brought to their attention by a woman from Yate.

The woman received a letter informing her she had won £10,000 but in order to claim the prize she had to send a processing fee of nearly £10.

Residents are being warned to be wary of similar letters and anyone with any information is asked to contact Crimestoppers free on 0800 555111.
