SIR - The Meningitis Trust would like to take this opportunity to thank readers in South-West England for helping FOCUS DIY stores raise a fantastic £21,121 towards the 'Support for Life' appeal.

Stores across the UK held fun days in September and raised an amazing £100,000 nationwide for the Meningitis Trust.

The 'Support for Life' Appeal was launched in September by The Countess of Wessex and aims to raise £4 million to provide specialist support services to those affected by meningitis, these include a 24 hour nurse-led Helpline, financial grants, counselling and home visits.

Through the continued commitment of your readers and companies like Focus DIY we can continue the fight against meningitis across the UK.
