Skating suggestions

DURSLEY Town Council has expressed its gratitude to the people behind the three ideas for the design of the town's skate park.

The council has received the suggestions from youngsters on what kind of ramps and pipes they would like to see.

Town Mayor Cllr Timothy Frankau said: "We would like to express our appreciation of the young people's participation on this issue."

Recreation and gardens committee members Cllr Joyce Broomhall and Cllr Brian Marsh will now liaise with Stroud District Council over the planning and funding of the skate park.

Cllr Broomhall said: "We can now show the council what is wanted and then tell them what we can afford."
