POLICE have completed an investigation into the death of a teenager who died after falling from a moving ambulance last year.
Spokeswoman Zoe Young said officers had now compiled a file on the case of Natalie Dibden, of Charfield, after the 16 year-old's tragic death on Sunday, November 9.
Natalie was fatally injured when she tumbled from the doors of an ambulance as it sped along the M5 motorway between Dursley and Gloucester.
"We have prepared a file of evidence, everything that we think is relevant, and that's gone to the coroner and the Crown Prosecution Service," said Miss Young.
"They will come back and make any observations. There is no timescale on that. It depends how long it takes them to go through it."
It would be down to the CPS to decide if any further action would be taken.
An ambulance was called to attend the teenager after she collapsed in the centre of Dursley in th early hours following a night out with friends. A paramedic was unable to grab her to prevent her plunging out.
It is believed she was in a confused state and thought she was opening a door to go to the toilet.
Natalie had lived in the family home in Orchard Close, Charfield, with parents Steve and Sarah and her two brothers. She wentr to The Castle School, Thornbury.
In December an inquest was opened and adjourned. No date for the full hearing hearing has been fixed.
