Sheep took ferry from Ramsgate

SIR - I may be able to solve the mystery of what has happened to the festive sheep that were on display in the grounds of Renishaw at Wotton-under-edges.

Two of my favourite glowing festive characters, namely Santa and Snowy, disappeared from my doorstep just before New Year. However a few days later I received a postcard from them. They were enjoying a break in Prague. They told me that they had caught a low-cost flight from Lulsgate. I suspect the sheep are with them, choosing however to catch the ferry from Ramsgate.

I am sure that by next Christmas they will all be back in their rightful places, bringing joy to the neighbours.
