A RELIGIOUS events calendar has been reprinted by police in the Cotswolds and Stroud division to help continue efforts to stamp out racism.
A total of 1,000 of the colourful posters have been produced to promote the work of the Cotswold and Stroud Racial Incidents Group.
The centre of the poster features a chart giving details of events and festivals throughout 2004 for 12 different religions to help foster relations between groups.
The calendars also give details of Gloucestershire's Racist Incident Helpline and advice in four languages - English, Bengali, Cantonese and Turkish - about reporting race crime.
The calendars have been produced by community liaison officer PC Helen Seymour, and have been funded by the Stroud and Cotswold Crime and Disorder Partnerships.
Calendars are being distributed to a variety of agencies in the Cotswold and Stroud area, such as district council offices, Victim Support, Citizens Advice Bureau, housing associations, schools and police stations. Copies are also available at Dursley police station.
