Traffic lights put passengers at risk

SIR - I can't understand why the traffic in Dursley is constantly held up by traffic lights into and out of Dursley. Surely all it needs is a roundabout.

If a roundabout is enough at the top of Bull Pitch, Kingshill and by Cam Co-op, surely its all that's needed going into Dursley.

Last weekend, gone 1am, I had to wait for the traffic lights. I'm lucky, I can lock the car doors, but some car doors won't look from the inside.

The people about, overcome with drink and drugs, are a threat to people waiting in cars, especially when there's not another car waiting.

If the council will persist in using them, surely at night they could be suspended.
