Spooky tales from Wotton's Ram Inn

WOTTON'S Ram Inn will feature in a new series, Magick Eve, scheduled be shown on ITV1 West of England next month.

The historic pub's owner, John Humphries, will also feature in the programme.

The new series examines aspects of the paranormal featuring places and incidents in the region and the myths and legends surrounding them.

Presented by Adam Lea and Emma Jane Portch, each show begins with the pair driving their VW Beetle in the countryside when something peculiar happens and they are mysteriously taken on a journey of discovery to an event that is both mysterious and unusual.

Throughout each programme they find out about the preconceptions behind the myth.

Looking down on the couple's adventures is a wise Sage, who explains the history and tradition of the locations or characters.

Subjects covered include ghosts, dragons, witches, UFOs and guardian angels as well as questioning why some houses appear to be haunted.

The programme is scheduled for Thursdays from March 4 (11.30pm-midnight).
