POLICE investigating an ongoing crime spree in the Kingshill area of Dursley believe the series of incidents are related.
Sgt Neil Gibbs said there has been a series of attacks on cars.
"We have had numerous cars stolen and broken into in the past few weeks," he added. "There was also a spate of petrol-siphoning and garage breaks."
Stolen cars have also been recovered in the area and police are investigating a possible link to similar incidents in Matson, Gloucester.
Earlier this month a man was arrested following reports of a break-in at Rednock School.
Sgt Gibbs added this arrest is also being linked to the spate of Kingshill attacks.
"We have an ongoing problem there," he added. "We do think the attempted burglary is connected and are focusing our investigations in the Matson area."
A grey Volvo estate stolen from Woodend Lane, Cam, overnight last Thursday week and later used in several thefts in Gloucester, was spotted by police in Matson and recovered in Draycott, Cam, after a police pursuit. A man was arrested.
Police are appealing for information about the crimes and anyone with information is asked to call police on 0845 090 1234 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
