THE POSSIBILITY of a re-vote on the transfer of Stroud District Council housing to a registered social landlord has emerged after the council received objections from a number of tenants.
If the council receives a large enough number of objections about the no vote in December, it may have to organise another ballot.
Cllr John Stephenson-Oliver (Con, Painswick), the leader of the council, said yesterday: "If the tenants show us in sufficient numbers that this is what they want, then it could happen.
"It is they who will make the decision though, not the council."
