Get into golf

NOVICE golf players are being given the opportunity to test their skills during a free golf coaching day at Cotswold Edge Golf Club.

In an effort to open up more golfing opportunities the English Golf Union has teamed up with the

English Ladies' Golf Association to develop several initiatives to encourage people to try the sport.

The free golf session is open to beginners of any age and golf balls and clubs are also provided free of charge.

The Cotswold Edge session will take place on Saturday, March 27 when a qualified PGA professional will be providing around eight hours of coaching

After the coaching session all participants are given information on a variety of initiatives aimed at continuing involvement in golf, including regular participation, obtaining a handicap and joining a club.
