Fair Trade plan welcome

SIR - I was very pleased to hear that Stroud district councillors are reconsidering a proposal to keep using Fairtrade beverages etc.

In this area volunteers have given their time lately holding Fair Trade stalls in Oxfam, church halls and supermarkets as they feel that growers in poorer countries are paid a fair and economic price for their produce.

I call it 'caring and sharing' so, please, councillors, have a heart, buy Fair Trade produce.
