Dumped vehicles burnt out

SIR - Two weeks ago I came across two more cars dumped in Hermitage Woods, Dursley, but they were clearly marked 'Police Aware'. At that stage they looked in reasonable condition, although some repair work would have been required to make them roadworthy. On Tuesday I covered the same route - the cars were still there but they are now burnt out wrecks!

I am not blaming the police. I expect the necessary information was sent to the relevant council department but someone is not doing their job properly. I expect they were too busy producing a glossy magazine telling us what a good job they are doing.

Now instead of being able to tow them out of the woods some lifting gear will be required at additional expense. Up go the rates!
