Poor show, councillors

A FORMER TOWN Mayor of Dursley has criticised many of the current crop of town councillors for not being present at last week's annual town meeting.

Speaking at the meeting, Cath Pierce said: "I think this is a very poor attendance by the town councillors - only half of them are here.

"A lot of new councillors have joined in the last year and it would have been nice to see what they look like."

Current Town Mayor Cllr Timothy Frankau said that he would mention Mrs Pierce's views, which he said were "fair comment", at the next council meeting.
