A HIGHLY visible political campaign will be making a whistle-stop tour of Dursley as it travels across the area promoting as part of the green Party's European election campaign.
The Green Party's Big Green Bus Tour will be coming to town next Wednesday morning as part of a nine-week tour to promote its campaign ahead of the European Parliament elections in June.
The brightly coloured double-decker tour has been organised by Joe Letts, who ran the Human Shield buses to Baghdad last year prior to the war in Iraq.
It will be stopping en route from Penzance to Swindon to offer information and a mobile drop-in.
The effort to take the Green Party's message onto the streets will be led by the group's lead European candidate in the elections David Taylor.
Mr Taylor said to have such a highly visible advert for Green politics is obviously going to be a huge bonus to the party.
"We hope the bus tour will highlight green activity and act as a catalyst for even more activity," he said. "We have a real chance of a breakthrough in this European election, and it's great to see the campaign shaping up with such energy and enthusiasm."
