SPRING is here, and with it comes the arrival of the new cricket season, which gets underway in just under a month.
Cam Cricket Club begin senior outdoors training on Friday, April 23, beginning at 6.30pm and ending at 8pm at the club's home ground at Everlands.
The team will have three league teams, a Sunday side and a midweek team competing at senior level this year.
The outside training will be a continuation of the club's winter training which has seen the players practicing in nets at Rednock School once a month throughout the winter.
Cam CC intend to continue to give its youth players a chance to play in senior teams and have a number of good prospects coming through its youth training system.
Youth team outside training for the under nines and under 11s will take place on Sunday mornings from April 25 between 10.30am and 12pm at the club.
The under 13 and under 15 teams will start training outdoors on Monday evenings from April 19 between 6.30pm and 8pm at the club.
The youth teams (U11s,U13s and U15s) have been at Rednock every Saturday evening from early February getting ready for the start of the new season in a couple of weeks' time.
This year, the club has two teams in each age group (U9s,U11s,U13s and U15s), and new players are always welcome. For more information, contact Andrew Ward on 547499.
