Thule pad up for new deal

GLOUCESTERSHIRE CCC have received a huge boost with the recent announcement that the club is to receive sponsorship from car rack company Thule, a deal which has coincided with the launch of the new club website.

Thule, the world's largest manufacturer of car rack systems, roof boxes and accessories, has tied up the new sponsorship package with the one day giants and in doing so has continued a successful association with the County Ground team that began last year.

The package will be a great benefit to Gloucestershire, and will cover the 'Player of the Month' award and several other club incentives and awards.

Gloucestershire Chief Executive Tom Richardson explained the value of these new awards at the launch of the new deal. He said: "Thule became involved with us for the first time last year. We are delighted that they wish to expand their involvement by sponsoring the 'Player of the Month' throughout the season as well as the "Champagne Moment" award at the players' awards dinner. This is a brand new award and will allow us to focus on and highlight the player who has made the most outstanding monthly contribution."

The sponsorship announcement is very timely as it coincides with the launch of the club's new website. Visitors to the site can now buy tickets and club souvenirs online. In addition, the new site holds more advanced information on the club, including a junior section.

For this season, the club player who has demonstrated the best skill and play throughout the month will be highlighted on the front page of the site alongside Thule marketing manager Peter Barker.

Commenting on the new deal, Barker said: "We are delighted to be sponsoring Gloucestershire Cricket Club again this year. They are a very successful team, and we are looking forward to another successful year with them."
