Watch your speed plea

SIR - Fat lot of good came of the signs put up along Charfield Road in Kingswood warning of road-resurfacing work and the risk of damage from flying chippings!

I use this road twice a day and have invariably been greeted by drivers who seem quite oblivious of the damaged paintwork they can cause to other vehicles as they hare along at 30-40mph.

The signs advise 10mph which admittedly is somewhat ludicrous but 20mph is not unreasonable over such a short distance. So a journey takes at most a couple of minutes longer?

Let's have a bit of consideration, please.
