Jacqui aims to bring choice

A NEW shop opened in Wotton-under-Edge yesterday.

Called Mungo's and on the corner of Orchard Street and Long Street, it sells furniture primarily.

Owner Jacqui Moore said: "I have always been interested in home interiors and have read with interest the letters in the Gazette over the years bemoaning the lack of facilities and choice in Wotton - especially a debate running over several weeks about being unable to buy furniture in Wotton."

She added: "I personally think Wotton has a lot to offer, and I hope my shop will further enhance the range of goods already on offer and encourage people to shop in the town.

"I think it's imperative Wotton offers something The Mall can't, such as unusual goods, personable service and an attractive market town with a heart that visitors and locals can enjoy."
