Delays on lift for town hall

WORK on the installation of a lift in Berkeley Town Hall has been put back until the end of May.

The delay is due in part to the contractor Burrow Building having to finish off another job first, but also because the architect David Barnes has yet to provide the specifications for the lift itself.

It is still expected that the work will be completed in time for the deadline of October.
