More than one issue

SIR - I can understand that Dudley George feels strongly about the war in Iraq. What I can't understand is that he ignores everything else that is going on.

Perhaps, Mr George was not one the three million people who often found themselves out of work under the Conservatives. He may also not have been one of the many thousands who had their homes re-possessed as a result of Conservative boom and bust economic policies. He may also not have been on one of the hospital waiting lists which are now being reduced by this government.

When I come to cast my vote, I will be looking at the records of what the parties have done for ordinary working people - not on the basis of a single issue.
