Thank you for a great post service

SIR - Although recent changes in the Royal Mail service may have resulted in some "teething troubles" throughout the country, I have been very impressed by the common sense attitude of our own team at the Wotton Sorting Office.

My office is in Wotton but I live in Wickwar. If a bulky package arrives at the sorting office for my home address, then it is dropped off to me in the office.

On Saturday a special delivery package addressed to my unoccupied office has been promptly delivered to Wickwar.

Our postmen have used their local knowledge and discretion to great effect to provide a truly excellent service at no extra cost. How many courier companies do you know who would have done the same?
