A FREE bus service will take residents to the main events at Dursley Town Festival on Saturday, July 10.
The classic vehicles, operated by bus preservation enthusiasts, will connect the main festival events with Cam and the Whiteway estate.
There may be some disruption to the planned timetable around 2pm due to the carnival procession, but otherwise it is hoped to maintain a service every 15 minutes from 9.30am to 6pm.
Organisers hope as many people as possible will use the buses to get to the festival events or just to take a ride on a classic bus.
Away from normal bus routes, buses will stop anywhere that it is safe to do so if a hand signal is given to the driver.
The service is being supported by Vale Vision and being provided free of charge by Preserved Classic Buses on behalf of Dursley Town Festival Committee.
Passengers are reminded that all journeys are subject to operating circumstances on the day and the organisers cannot be held responsible for any losses, damages or inconvenience caused by using this service. Passengers must not eat, drink or smoke on any vehicle and all passengers and their belongings are carried at the drivers' (or conductors) discretion.
The route will operate via Castle Street, Long Street, the Heritage Vehicle Display, Long Street, Silver Street, Bull Pitch, Woodmancote, the Open Gardens, Byron Road, Shakespeare Road, Somerset Avenue, Cambridge Avenue, Woodmancote, Bull Pitch, Silver Street, Castle Street, Parsonage Street, the Recreation Ground, Kingshill Road, Dursley Road, Woodfield Road, Cam Pitch, Manor Avenue, Cam High Street, Chapel Street, Everlands, Woodview Road, Tilsdown, Kingshill Road, Recreation Ground, Parsonage Street, Castle Street.
