Handbag stolen by man and child

POLICE are appealing for witness to a theft in Marybrook Street, Berkeley.

A woman opened her door on Wednesday evening, June 16 to a man and a small child who said they were looking for a frisbee. She later found cash, watches, her handbag and purse and credit cards had been stolen.

The man is described as white, about 35, 5ft 4in tall, of stocky build. He was wearing a blue T-shirt with the word Adidas on it, and blue or grey shorts with a check pattern.

The child is described as a small boy with short, light hair, about seven, wearing dark T-shirt and shorts.

Sgt Colin Ford said: "This is quite a distressing offence. They have been seen by other people in the area and we would be keen to hear from anybody who has any information."
