A NEW community office has opened its doors in Cam.
Based at Woodfield Youth Centre, Woodfield Community Office offers advice to residents on a wide range of issues.
Maureen Poole, secretary of Woodfield Residents' Association and a trustee of the youth centre, said: "The office is there to help with any inquiries that people might have about the district council, the parish council and Gloucestershire County Council. We many not always know the answers but we will know somebody who does.
"We have been open for eight weeks but we had our official opening on Thursday and invited people to come and have a look at what we can offer.
"A lot of people come and talk about parking problems, especially mums not being able to park outside schools.
"We haven't had a lot of people so far but it is building up week by week and hopefully more people will learn about us by word of mouth.
"There are two members of staff in the office during opening hours, and on Thursdays the clerk of Cam Parish Council will be available as well"
The office is open on Tuesday (10am-12pm) and Thursday (1.30-3.30pm). For more information call 01453 543364. If the office is unattended, messages can be left on the answerphone.
