Environment views wanted

RESIDENTS of Cam and Dursley will have the chance to voice their opinions on environmental issues at a public meeting on Monday (7pm).

Vale Vision's Environmental Working Group is holding the meeting at Dursley Town Hall.

Director of the Stroud Valleys Project Caroline Aistrop is keen for everyone to join in.

She said: "The first important step is to get the opinions of people living around Cam and Dursley about what they think the most urgent problems facing the environment around them."

Vale Vision's Environment Working Group dedicates its time to improving the environment and is encouraging the people of Dursley to participate.

Mrs Aistrop is hopeful people will feel strongly enough to want to do something to ease environmental problems that affect the area - from poor air quality or public transport.

She said: "If the environmental problems shown on television and mentioned on the radio make you seethe with anger, come along to the meeting and find out how you really can do something positive to make the environment of Cam and Dursley a healthier place to live."

Anyone who wants more details about the group or who can not attend the meeting but would like to be involved should contact Caroline Aistrop on 01453 753358 or email info@stroudvalleysproject.org.
