Thanks to an old friend

SIR - After a long teaching career at the British School in Wotton, Miss Pat Rose is about to retire (early) from the school and the teaching profession.

As a parent I would like to publicly thank her for adding great value to the manners and education of my three children.

As a colleague I would like to thank her for furthering my own education and career.

As a friend I thank her for her time and concern. Her good humour and experience was always helpful to me.

Along with my family we sincerely thank Pat for all her efforts for the pupils of the British School and wish her a long and happy retirement - the education profession, such that it is today, will sorely miss such a committed and experienced teacher.
