HEALTHCHECK events held in Wotton-under-Edge have been hailed a success by the organisers.
Wotton-under-Edge Regeneration Partnership held the two public events on Saturday, June 26 and Wednesday, July 14, with more than 50 people attending.
The events provided the partnership with ideas on how residents would like to tackle the issues raised by the Healthcheck report.
Healthcheck is a tool devised by the Countryside Agency to help market towns assess their strengths, weaknesses, future demands and opportunities. The process involves gathering information and opinions and the report provides a detailed picture of where the town is now, enabling people to think about where they want to see in the future.
The environment, trasnport and economy are among issues that are covered by the study.
Helen Bojaniwska, co-ordinator of the partnership, said: "The next stage in the process is to prioritise the issues and to that end the partnership has produced a questionnaire, which we need as many people as possible to complete.
"The aim of the questionnaire is to find out which issues are the most important to people. The results will be used to help develop action plans for the future."
Readers are invited to complete the form the paper this week.
