THE TOWN will be full of the sounds of folk and acoustic music tomorrow for the annual Dursley Folk and Acoustic Music Day.
It is the third year the event, which will be staged at Kingshill House, has taken place.
This year well known national and local musicians have been booked to perform and lead workshops including Pete Coe, CMR (Sarah Morgan, Moira Craig and Carolyn Robson), Mainbrace and Malarkey.
During the day participants will take part in a series of workshops including singing together, folk dance dunes, song writing, shanties and choruses and ballards and traditional Songs.
In the evening (7pm) at St Dominic's Roman Catholic Church Hall, there will be a concert and ceilidh with performances from workshop leaders.
Organiser David Cheffings said: "It is celebration of singing and music grounded in traditional folk, but also encompasses other genres including blues, stories and poetry. It is an event at which participation is encouraged. There will be opportunities to learn something new and to perform all in a very relaxed atmosphere."
For more information and tickets call David Cheffings (evenings) on 01453 545065.
